The Next Step in Your Christian Walk...
In every person’s Christian walk, there are milestones that mark the way. At Chapel of Praise, we want to be part of your journey to Christian development and maturity. The following sections describe the things we can do to help you take your walk to the next level.
The Miracle of Salvation in Christ
–Titus 2:11
Salvation is the first miracle in the lives of those born again. It moves you from the category of ‘lost’ — eternally separated from God — to eternal life with Christ. If you are not yet a Christian, or a brand new Christian, we at Chapel of Praise welcome you into the family! It is important to take the next step in your new walk.
If you have not yet made a decision for Christ, this is an important step for you. It makes the difference between eternal life and an eternity in hell. Please take the step to learn more!
My first steps...
If you are a new believer, please contact us about our ‘new believers’ class, where you will learn healthy habits for the early days.
Personal Actions for my Walk...
Been a believer for awhile? Are you looking for the next steps for your maturity in Christ? Review the actions below and contact us if you are interested. We look forward to taking the next step with you.
Baptism
–Romans 6:4
At Chapel of Praise, we follow the example of the Bible in baptism by immersion. We believe that every believer should be baptized as part of his / her public confession of giving their life to Christ.
We have an indoor baptismal in the church for the cool seasons. We often conduct our baptisms at a local lake during the summer months. We offer a ‘baptism’ class for those wanting to be baptized.

Join a Support Group
“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”
–1 Thessalonians 5:11
At Chapel of Praise, we believe that we should support each other in our Christian walks. We have ‘huddle’ groups for men, and sister-2-sister groups for women. You can read more under the Ministries Menu for both.
Join an Adult Bible Study Group
Pastor Curt leads in-depth studies every Wednesday evening during Family Night. While the children are in Awana or at Crave Student Ministries, adults are invited into the sanctuary for a discussion-based study, steeped in Scripture. The study begins at 6:30 p.m.

Baby / Child Dedication
Proverbs 22:6 says “Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.”
At Chapel of Praise we encourage parents to dedicate – to devote wholly – their children to the Lord. A ‘dedication’ is a public commitment by the parents to raise their young one(s) in the Lord and in the church.
This is a great opportunity to include the entire family, including extended family, to participate in your commitment to “train up your child in the way he should go.”

Church Membership
Throughout the year we hold a membership class, available to anyone interested in learning more about what it means to be a member of the Chapel of Praise-Church of God.
The class covers our beliefs and values, outlined by our doctrine. There is no obligation to become a member of the Chapel of Praise in order to attend the membership class. We simply hope that by sharing who we are as a church will help you make a lasting decision in your walk with God.
Please contact us if you are interested in attending a class, or check the bulletin or Facebook for upcoming sessions.
Other Pastoral Services
Periodically there are other services we might perform for you: Weddings, Funerals, Guidance or Counseling, Visitation, Informational Meeting, Prayer and Anointing for Health Issues, Crisis Care, or other Spiritual Care needs.
These are often case-by-case. Please contact the church office with your request by phone at 406-889-3207, or use the request form by clicking the button below.
